Day two - Vikings and more Royal palaces!

  Statutes to commemorate the Tour de France that held a stage Roskilde                                    Today, being Sunday, a few of the places I wanted to visit weren't open so I decided to head out to Roskilde and visit the Viking boat museum. In all honestly it was very similar to when the British Museum held an exhibition on Viking boat museum but I have seen a thousand museums so might not be the best judge. The centre was surrounded by kid focused activities, boat building (actual woodwork), rope making and a Viking camp. They also had a dock with lots of reproduction of boats from throughout the Viking era.  I then went off to see the Roskilde Cathedral, which is were all the royals are buried even though the capital has moved to Copenhagen. It was very nice inside (I wasn't sure if I could take photos so I have not taken any) and full of lots of interesting maus...

Day One

  After alot of stress before I got here the actual journey itself was very easy! I stayed in a Capsule hotel at Gatwick over night. Which was interesting and very nice. (link to my Tik Tok here ). Once I arrived in Copenhagen and joined the queue for Passport control - where the Immigration officer found my name very long and asked what I wanted to be known as! I got my stamp and headed to the train station. I had picked up a Visit Copenhagen card and this made travel and visiting place economical and easy. I was able to get to my hotel in 20 minutes but couldn't check in so left my bag and went to explore the city.  I was staying near the Fields Shopping Centre that had a memorial to the recent shooting that took place there but as a British person I am use to being around places were violence has happened. There is something comfortable about Shopping Centres, because while they might hold different shops, they are set up the same and you find a coffee, cinema and pizza if...
